Washington — On Monday, February 8, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded $20.1 million in grants to university researchers to go toward research or extension projects aimed at helping producers combat Huanglongbing (HLB), or citrus greening disease as it is more commonly known. According to Secretary Tom Vilsack, this disease has affected over 75% of Florida citrus crops and continues to threaten production across the United States.
