New from Reed’s, Inc. (NYSE: REED) are four new flavors of Culture Club Kombucha, a line of organic, live beverages launched in 2012. Added to the line are Pomegranate Ginger, Passion Mango Ginger, Cabernet and Coconut Water Lime. Other flavors already in Reed’s Culture Club Kombucha line include Goji Ginger, Hibiscus Ginger Grapefruit, Lemon Ginger Raspberry and Cranberry Ginger.
Founder, Chairman and CEO of Reed’s, Inc., Chris Reed, stated, “Our first flavors were very inspired. In this new round of flavor development, we were compelled to be even more inventive, resulting in our new Coconut Water Lime Kombucha—the first marriage of the fast growing coconut water and Kombucha beverage categories. Our new Cabernet Kombucha was inspired by our customers telling us they are using our Kombucha as a wine substitute.”
Reed’s Inc. is currently the number two player in the Kombucha category, but Reed says, “Our sights are clearly set to be number one.”
Reed’s Inc. recently announced GMO-free labeling on all of its products, including Reed’s Ginger Brew, Virgil’s Root Beer and Reed’s Culture Club Kombucha. Reed comments on this achievement, stating, “We have avoided GMOs in our products because we feel they have not been adequately researched. Our customers have been very vocal about GMO ingredients in their food. GMO-free food products are a very fast growing trend in this country, and I can see the natural food industry moving to go completely GMO free in stores in the near future.”
