Evofem, Inc. offers the Softcup menstrual cup as a new sanitary napkin/tampon alternative. The product is easy to insert, but the company says it fits better than a tampon and can be worn up to 12 hours without removal. The Softcup is made from a “non-irritating plastic containing medical elastomer and polyethylene.”

The 2012 Natural Products Expo West tradeshow was the largest in its 30-year history. Some 60,000 industry members attended the event, which ran March 8–11 at the Anaheim Convention Center. New from Smith & Vandiver is the Aromatherapaes line of single-use spa treatments for home. According to the company, “Aromatherapaes combines the most beneficial essential oils with the safest, natural ingredients to create authentically aromatherapeutic bath, body and skin care products.” Products include Calming All Over Cleanse, Soothing Body Oil, Hydrating Skin Spritzer and more.
