Chicago, IL—An online community for food enthusiasts, The Food Channel, has announced several new food trends. CultureWaves, Mintel International and the International Food Futurists all collaborated with the group to pinpoint what is hot in the grocery aisle.

Their top 10 list includes unique chip-and-dip options (often healthy, spicy and served warm); miniature versions of traditional foods (like sliders); healthy drinks packed with antioxidants; uniquely flavored nuts and granola, locally grown fruit; granola bars, especially those for people on special diets; sweet and salty snacks; probiotic-boosted yogurt; bold flavors; and nostalgic foods like snack cakes.
